Please be advised that a fire ban is in place in Haliburton County. COMPLETE FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IN HALIBURTON COUNTY – May 12, 2022.The Ontario Natural Resources and Forestry is reporting extreme fire conditions for our area. It is the combined decision of the four Chief Fire Officials that a total fire ban for Haliburton County is implemented effective immediately (May 12, 2022).. Please be advised that as of June 1 st there is a total fire ban within the County of Haliburton, which includes the Township of Algonquin Highlands, the Municipality of Dysart et al, the Municipality of Highlands East and the Township of Minden Hills. The ban has been implemented through a joint decision of the County’s 4 Chief Fire Officials and is supported by the Ministry of Natural.
